From The Medieval Town to La Canilla Promenade

Walk down Santa María Street. You will be struck by some polychromed houses and its festive atmosphere. At the intersection with Salcedo Street is the Elías López Bustamante manor, built in 1910 by architect Leonardo Rucabado, in which the influence of Catalan modernism and German Gothic style is evident. From here you will reach La Canilla Promenade, either via the Arco de Vallecilla, an interesting domed passage communicating the old Town with the fishing port, or via the steps of the Town Hall. This area, which is today landscaped, is particularly pleasant with its outdoor cafés.
